If you have recently become eligible for benefits due to a work status change to a full-time employee, you are eligible the first of the month following the date of the change as long as you have met your initial waiting period, based on your job title/classification as shown below:

  • Department heads, nurses, therapists and Service Center/Cornet employees: Benefits are effective the first of the month after you become a full-time employee, provided you enroll within 30 days following the date you become a full-time employee. Example: If you become a full-time employee on April 5, your benefits are effective on May 1, provided you enroll by May 5.
  • Other employees of an Ensign Services-affiliated company: Benefits are effective the first of the month following 60 days after you become a full-time employee, provided you enroll within 30 days following the date you become a full-time employee. Example: If you become a full-time employee on May 15, your benefits are effective on August 1, provided you enroll by June 14.
